Treasure drop giveaway terms
In short
- 18+ Australian residents with a verified Rangr Dangr account can enter. It's free.
- Find the chest in person, share your link, and the first finder whose friend signs up and verifies wins.
- Sign-ups from your own internet connection or phone don't count. We check every win before paying.
1. Who can enter
Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 or over who hold a Rangr Dangr account with a verified email address. Rangr Dangr administrators, staff and their immediate families can't enter. Entry is free; no purchase is needed.
2. How it works
- Each drop is announced in the app with a countdown. The chest's location appears on the map at the drop time.
- To claim the chest you must be within 100 metres of it, with your phone's location turned on. Any number of people can claim the same chest.
- After claiming, you must share your personal invite link using the share button.
- The winner is the first claimer whose invited friend creates a new Rangr Dangr account through that link and verifies their email address. The order is decided by our server's clock.
- Once a chest is won, the drop ends for everyone.
3. Sign-ups that don't count
To keep it fair, an invited sign-up doesn't count if it comes from the same internet connection (IP address) or the same device as the claimer, if it was made before the claim, or if it's an existing account. We may also disqualify any entry that we reasonably believe is fake, automated, a duplicate account, or made with location spoofing. Our decision is final.
4. The prize
The prize for each drop is shown in the app (for example $100). It's paid by bank transfer to the winner within [14] days of us confirming the win. The prize isn't transferable. If we can't contact the winner within [14] days, the prize lapses.
5. Checks and privacy
To stop cheating, we keep a scrambled (hashed) version of the IP address and a random device ID for each claim and each invited sign-up, only until that drop is settled. We then delete them. See our Privacy Policy.
6. Safety
Treasure is placed in public places. Obey road rules, never trespass, and don't use your phone while driving. Rangr Dangr isn't responsible for injury or loss while looking for a chest, except where the law says otherwise.
7. Changes and cancellation
We may cancel, pause or change a drop if something outside our control affects it, or if we suspect fraud. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
